Terms of Service

Aveus AI is a regulatory compliance tool for Shopify merchants operating in the European Union. It automatically audits third-party scripts, pixels, and AI technologies running in your Shopify storefront and classifies them against the EU AI Act (Regulation EU 2024/1689), GDPR (Regulation EU 2016/679), and EU Data Act (Regulation EU 2023/2854).

The Service is intended exclusively for Shopify merchants with a valid Shopify subscription operating or serving customers within the European Economic Area (EEA).

• You must be a Shopify merchant with a valid, active Shopify store.
• You must have the authority to accept these Terms on behalf of your business.
• You must be located in, or serve customers in, the European Economic Area.
• You must be at least 18 years of age or the age of majority in your jurisdiction.

Aveus AI is available on a paid subscription basis processed exclusively through the Shopify Billing API. By selecting a subscription plan, you authorise Shopify to charge your account according to the plan pricing. Billing is managed entirely by Shopify under their Partner Billing terms; Mora Boost ApS does not directly store payment card details.

A 14-day free trial is offered on all plans. During the trial, access to full audit results may be limited (masked). Cancellation before the trial ends incurs no charge. After the trial, the subscription renews automatically each billing period until cancelled.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to audit stores or assets you do not own or have explicit authorisation to audit.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, disassemble, or decompile the Service.
• Use the Service to generate false or misleading compliance certificates.
• Overload or abuse the API infrastructure (rate limits apply — 3 audits per minute per store).
• Share access credentials or session tokens with third parties.
• Use the Service in any manner that violates applicable laws or Shopify Partner Programme policies.

The Service, including its source code, AI models, classification methodology, compliance schemas, and all associated documentation, is the exclusive intellectual property of Mora Boost ApS and is protected under Danish and international copyright law.

Your use of the Service grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access the Service solely for your own internal compliance purposes.

Aveus AI provides automated compliance analysis tools, not legal advice. The audit results, risk classifications, and compliance assessments generated by the Service are based on algorithmic analysis and are provided for informational purposes only.

You are solely responsible for ensuring that your Shopify store and the technologies you deploy comply with all applicable laws, including the EU AI Act, GDPR, and EU Data Act. Mora Boost ApS does not guarantee that use of the Service will ensure full regulatory compliance or protect you from regulatory action.

We strongly recommend that you consult qualified legal counsel for definitive compliance advice specific to your situation.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Mora Boost ApS shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, regulatory fines, or business opportunities, arising out of or related to your use of or inability to use the Service.

Our total liability to you for any claims arising under these Terms shall not exceed the total fees paid by you to Mora Boost ApS (via Shopify Billing) in the three (3) months preceding the claim.

We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Service. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part of it) at any time with reasonable prior notice where possible.

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. Material changes will be notified via the Shopify admin notification system at least 30 days in advance.

You may terminate your subscription at any time by uninstalling the app from your Shopify admin. Upon uninstallation, we will purge your AI inventory and session data as required by GDPR Art. 17 and Shopify Partner Programme policies. Compliance ledger records may be retained for 1095 days (3 years) from the date of each entry and then deleted automatically. This exceeds the minimum log-keeping period required by the EU AI Act and matches the limitation period for contractual claims under Danish law; see the Privacy Policy for the full retention schedule.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service immediately if you breach these Terms or engage in conduct that may harm the Service, other users, or applicable regulatory frameworks.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Denmark, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Copenhagen City Court (Københavns Byret), Denmark.

If you are a consumer (not a business), nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights under applicable consumer protection laws of your country of residence.
